One onboarding policy, fewer workflows to maintain

Guillem Mercader· Product Marketing Manager

Build one onboarding policy with One: covers role, workplace and legal entity, and tasks close themselves when the real action happens. No workflows to duplicate per team.

New hires don't all follow the same path. Role, workplace and legal entity each change what onboarding should look like, and keeping a separate workflow updated for every combination takes constant upkeep.

As your account moves to the new Employee Onboarding, a single onboarding policy that adapts automatically takes over, so HR manages onboarding from one place instead of many workflows.

Here's what you can do:

  • Build: draft your policy with One in Settings, or start from a template.

  • Adapt: set conditions by role, workplace and legal entity, so one policy covers these cases instead of a separate workflow each.

  • Close automatically: tasks complete only when the real action happens in Factorial, like a document actually being signed, not a manual checkbox.

  • Track: follow each new joiner's progress on the new Activity tab, Kanban-style.

With this update, onboarding stays accurate without manual upkeep.
