This launch comes at a moment of expansion and growth, with artificial intelligence at the center of its business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Personal AI agents are already part of everyday work. According to Okta&#8217;s 2026 AI Agents at Work survey, 52% of employees use AI tools their company has never approved, while 90% of executives believe they can see which tools their teams use. This is the question Jordi Romero, co-founder and CEO of Factorial, brings to Web Summit 2026 in Lisbon on 10 November: are employees&#8217; AI agents working for their company, or against it?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new One agent understands each company&#8217;s context and allows employees to draft documents, research and answer questions using their own organisation&#8217;s information and data. But its role goes beyond answering: with the employee&#8217;s permission, it can automate tasks and workflows, from screening candidates or managing reports and expenses to preparing job offers, policies, onboarding plans or any other document.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/L4XIj2pPnfg?si=ZbP5vRQayU1rksGK\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also connects information and processes across different areas, such as HR, Finance and IT, and integrates with tools teams already use, such as HubSpot or email.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Your people are going to have a personal agent. That is already decided. The only question is whose agent it is. That is why we built One: an agent that knows the company, answers to the company and knows when to ask. Small things it just does, big things it checks with a human first,&#8221; says Jordi Romero.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>A new generation of AI built into workflows<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With One and this cross-functional integration of AI, Factorial is extending its offering beyond traditional HR software towards AI for business, able not only to understand an organisation&#8217;s information, but also to act on it and get the work done.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company is rebuilding its product around artificial intelligence to build it natively into workflows and connect the information, tools and processes companies already use.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The goal is for technology to make work simpler, not more complex: to reduce the time teams spend searching for information, switching between applications or completing administrative tasks, and to free that time so they can focus on what really adds value. The company currently has 17,000 customer companies in more than 90 countries, whose employees add up to more than 1.3 million users who rely on Factorial in their day-to-day work. This growth is also reflected in its workforce, which has grown by more than 30% in 2026, and in its valuation, which rose to $2.5 billion after closing a $150 million Series D round in June.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Factorial&#8217;s European expansion is based on organic growth and, increasingly, on acquisitions. The company keeps its focus on markets such as Germany, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this context, <\/span><b>Empion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a Berlin-based AI company specialised in talent assessment based on cultural fit, skills and motivations, and <\/span><b>YepCode<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a Galician company specialised in integrations and process automation, are examples of a strategy that seeks to expand Factorial\u2019s capabilities in two key areas: artificial intelligence and systems integration.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Germany as a European priority<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/r1IFL6z1xwI?si=p-D5uLm8IvbT05LP\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Germany is currently Factorial&#8217;s number one priority in Europe. The business there is growing at over 100% year on year, and more than 1,700 German companies already use Factorial. The company has strengthened its local presence with a new office in Munich, from where it mainly concentrates commercial and sales functions, partner development and customer support, while the acquisition of Empion, specialised in AI-based talent assessment, has strengthened its product capabilities.
